Here's a summary of responsibilities:
Provide tours of the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center for all visiting guests (internal and external).
Here's how you'll have an impact:
- Share the mission and values of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) through informative and captivating tours of the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center (CSOPTC). Tour guests include, but are not limited to, tourists from all over the country and world, visiting athletes and families, community partners, sponsors, National Governing Bodies, USOPC staff, VIPs, donors, resident athletes, and schools.
- Conduct VIP Tours that include additional behind-the-scenes visits and dialogue.
- Adapt the CSOPTC tour script as your own, ensuring guests have an accurate yet unique experience.
- Collaborate with CSOPTC Visitor Center leadership in continually updating and editing the tour script with new FAQs, advancements in sport, upgrades to the CSOPTC, news on the Olympic and Paralympic Movements, and more.
- Assist with staffing the front desk with tasks such as point of sale, cash reconciliation, guests' inquiries, answering phones, tour gathering, data capture, etc.
- Provide top-level customer service to all CSOPTC guests and help grow their passion for the Olympic and Paralympic Movement.
- Assist fellow Tour Ambassadors with CSOPTC Visitor Center opening and closing procedures, including (but not limited to) operating audiovisual equipment, reconciling the cash drawer, scheduling large group tours, and preparing for VIP tours.
- Assist with event set-up and teardown.
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR/AED/First Aid or willing to get certified
- Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and be comfortable speaking in large groups of 50 or more

- Tour guide or equivalent experience preferred

Here's where you'll work:
- This hub-based position will regularly work from the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center.
Here's some more information you need to know:
- Hiring Pay Range: $15.00 – $18.02 per hour.
- This temporary, seasonal, part-time, non-exempt position is intended to work 20 hours per week.
